Karnataka State Medical and Dental Alumni Association of America [KSMD] was created in Philadelphia in November 1976. KSMD was founded to bring together the alumni of all healthcare professionals from each and every Medical and Dental College in Karnataka, India for educational and social purposes.

Our Goals:
- Our major principal is to promote medical education in India
- Support Fellowship program and to implement knowledge gained in USA with respect to Karnataka Medical Colleges
- To conduct medical and dental conferences in Karnataka and other parts of the world.
- To start modern, fully interactive computer medical library systems in various medical colleges.
- To provide educational support to the medical students in the State of Karnataka, India
- To be the liaison between healthcare professionals here in the United States and their counter-parts in the state of Karnataka, India
- To promote and to bring about affordable health care to all people in the United States and Karnataka, India.
